A New Baby

I know that all the people reading this post probably already know, but my mom is having a baby. Everybody thought this baby was going to be a boy. There were only a couple people who thought it was a girl. I was at Aunt Beth's house when on Facebook, mama asked all the cousins and aunts and uncles to vote on whether they thought that it was going to be a girl or boy. When we got home we were very surprised to find out that the baby was going to be a girl. Just because we were surprised didn't mean that we were upset. I was very excited because I did not think I could deal with another Timothy. I know that Sadie will have lots of fun with a little baby sister. The baby's name is going to be Ruby Katherine Lord, and we will call her Ruby Kate.

It is so hard to imagine how baby will look like before it's born. However, I kind of visualized Sadie how she looks like now. I imagined her with curls in the back of her head and big pretty eyes and teeth with a gap in the middle. The main thing about Sadie that I imagined wrong, was that I envisioned Sadie with reddish auburn hair. I see Ruby Kate being a very quiet little girl that can be found in a corner playing with baby dolls. I picture Ruby maybe having reddish hair and hazel eyes. Her hair will probably be thick and long, and she will be a little bit more chubby than Sadie. I'm not really sure how she will look, but I think she'll probably be a combination of all of us.

New Kittens!!!!!

Iggy had her kittens on June the 19th, 2015. She had five kittens!! You wouldn't think that a small cat like that could even fit three kittens in her. Anyway, one night I saw Iggy go into a closet, and the next day Timothy told me that Iggy had three kittens. Well later she had two more kittens.
Here is a recent picture of four of them. Ericka is holding her kitten, Harry. Harry isn't really Ericka's kitten, but she wants him to be hers.
And here is the most adorable kitten.....Buttercup

I know that I shouldn't get too attached, but with this lil' cutie, who could not get attached though. Sorry about the blurry pic though.

Summer Art Camp and 4-H Camp

Sorry I haven't posted much! I have been very busy, and I've procrastinated some because I knew that writing about all that has happened would be a difficult task. So let's start at the beginning of Art Camp.

The Sunday before camp was very exciting. After church most of the family went to town while I stayed home with Ben and Daddy. When they got back, they brought all kinds of things to pack in my lunch bag like apple sauce, chips, cookies, juice, etc. I planned out what I was going to wear for every single day of the week and I braided my hair before I went to bed so the next day it would be wavy.

On Monday I packed my lunch and and decide that I wouldn't wear the outfit that I had planned to wear. I have found that you can't plan ahead as far as outfits go. You just have to wear what fits your mood for that day. That day I auditioned for the part of Little Red Riding Hood. I also auditioned for the part of a narrator. Since I'm an older kid, I got a larger part as a narrator. At first I was excited, but on Saturday, when I was about to do my part, I got really nervous. It all went well though.

On Saturday afternoon I packed up all of my clothes for 4-H camp. It was very exciting, but I had never been away for more than about two days. On Monday I got up early and told Daddy bye, and a few minutes later got into the car with Timothy and Mama to go to the 4-H office. We soon left to go to Rock Eagle!!!! When we finally got there I wasn't very familiar to the place. I had only been to Rock Eagle once for Ericka and Ben's DPA. 4-H camp has three teams, or in this case, tribes. There are the Shawnees, the Muskogees, and the Cherokees. We were the Muskogees, our colors were yellow, and our symbol was a flaming arrow.

After that our county went back to our cabins and unpacked. Once we were done with that we got to go to the pools. We had a person called a "milk mama" bring us milk, juice, or water every day. She would also play games with us and bring us to the dining hall everyday. Our milk mama's name was Ashley. She was really nice and fun.

One day there was a huge storm at Rock Eagle. I was doing arts and crafts, and had to skip pool time because of the storm. Instead we played games for an hour. They released us to go to our cabins and wait for our milk mamas' or milk daddies'. Miss. Ashley came and brought us to the dining hall. The storm at first was mild, but it soon started to thunder and lightning and the lights were flickering on and off. Since we were stuck in the cafeteria, we all started to have "chant wars". Chant Wars are when each of the tribes try to out scream each other.

The Muskogee Tribal Chant goes line this,

Who rocks the house?
I said the Shawnees rock the house,
And when the Shawnees rock the house,
I said Oops! I lied to you.

Who rocks the house?
I said the Cherokees rock the house,
And when the Cherokees rock the house,
I said Oops! I lied to you.

Who rocks the house?
Yeah the Muskogees rock the house,
And when the Muskogees rock the house,
They rock it all the way down!
Gooooo Muskogees!
Savage!
Annnnddd How!

How is some kind of Indian word.

On Thursday we had all of these competitions, like tug of war, archery, and crab walking. On Friday we found out who won.....the Shawnees. Oh well. It was still amazing and fun and the best thing ever!

Summer Bucket List

After this week I will have only two more weeks of school left until summer break. I am so excited, especially since I'm going to 4-H summer camp!!! I am also going to Art Camp, and it will be my 5th year and the last time I do it. Anyway, I am about to list my summer ideas for when I'm really bored.
  • make a huge tent by wrapping string around three trees, putting sheets over it and filling it with chairs, books, blankets, a picnic basket, and drawing materials. (I will post pictures if it happens)
  • Put glow sticks in a swimming pool at night ,and go swimming.... first I need to find a pool.
  • make gummy bear ice-pops
  • make my own lemonade stand...I don't know, I just think that might be fun.
  • Create a boutique that sells bows, bracelets, necklaces, room decor, etc.
  • have a family water balloon fight
  • go to the pond and go fishing
  • volunteer at the local library and humane society
  • create a time capsule to dig up in a year
  • create an obstacle course
  • start a flower garden complete with flowers (state the obvious), a little fish pond (maybe),and  a bird bath
  • make a wind-chime
I hoped you enjoyed! Comment what you plan to do this summer.

April Update

This isn't the best pick, but I couldn't get those chicks to be still.
I haven't posted in a while and I have lots of things to catch up on. So I will tell about some of the main things that have been going on.
  • Iggy, our cat, is going to have babies around June 18. Comment if you want one! There will probably be about three kittens.
  • On the 14th of this month we competed in the district poultry judging competition. The junior team got 2nd place and the senior team got 3rd place. Ben was the high individual for the senior team, Ericka was second out of 70 kids in the junior team, and I got 10th place out of 70 kids.
  • One of our hens had two chicks! They are so cute!
  • This month for my birthday I am planning on having some girl cousins over for a sleep over.
  • With 4-H I volunteered at our local AG Day. I helped Mrs. Jeri teach several (12) classes to 5th grade kids. It was very necessary for these kids, because they had no clue about where their food comes from. One kid thought that chocolate milk came from brown cows..... come on.

Painting My Room

I’ve always wanted to have a bright blue room, and on Sunday after church, I finally got it painted…. I say that I got it painted, but mom did most of it. I did help out by watching my two year old sister, Sadie. My room is shared with my sister, Ericka, and soon Sadie will share it with me! We also got a white bunk bed with stairs! I will show you the painting pictures and when the room is completely finished I will show it to you.
