Monday Night Bowling

Yesterday the whole family went to The Rocking 8 Bowling Alley in Douglas and had an amazing time. Mama won the first round, and Ben won the next. I got last at least in one of the games. The whole time we were there Sadie kept on running to the arcade. She really liked looking at the lit up and colorful bubble gum machines.

Sadie Hope Lord

Sadie Hope Lord is my little sister. I had always wanted a baby sister or brother, but deep down I knew that it just had to be an adorable little sister. When Mama and Daddy told us that they were expecting a baby we went on and on about names we wanted. We all had something to say about it. A little while later, Mama and Daddy went to find out if it was a boy or a girl. The results came in and there was a 90% chance it was a girl. Mama said that it was really a 50/50 chance, but I knew it was a girl. Later when Mama went to see if it was a girl or a boy for the second time she took Ericka and me. The nurse asked if we were ready to find out and Ericka told her, "It just has to be a girl." It was a girl!
I don't think our family would look right without Sadie.

Hello

Thanks for checking out my new blog. I didn't know much about setting up a blog, but my Aunt Beth helped me a lot.

I have decided to tell you some things about me for my first post, so here goes.

My name is Dona Caroline Lord. Although my first name is Dona, I am called Caroline because my mama's name is Dona, and if they called me that things could get confusing. My  favorite colors are mint green, aqua, and pink. All of those colors just remind me of an adorable ice cream parlor. I hate the taste of sweet tea. It's just nasty to me. My favorite thing to eat is my Daddy's homemade pizza. I have a pet rooster named Buzz. He is a Polish chicken and he has feathers sticking out of the top of his head. She is too cute. I am highly allergic to wasps, fire ants, yellow jackets, and hornets. Once I had to go to the hospital with an allergic reaction to fire ants. My favorite season is winter. There are no seasonal allergies and more importantly no fire ants.

That basically sums up me. The purpose of this blog is to show people that the middle isn't so bad.....it's really the best place to be.
